Bon Courage Estate
is located in the heart of the Robertson Valley between the Breede River and the Langeberg Mountains. The vineyards benefit from long hours of sunshine, varied soils and the cooler nights of the Breede River Valley. These conditions allow numerous white and red grape varieties to thrive.
The historic Cape Dutch manor house dates from 1818. Since 1927, the estate has been farmed by the Bruwer family, who have developed Bon Courage over several generations into a versatile winery. The farm was originally called Goedemoed. In 1983, the estate was registered as a winery under the French name Bon Courage.
The range extends from fresh white wines and classic red wines to noble sweet wines and traditionally produced Cap Classiques. Chardonnay and the sparkling wines of the Jacques Bruére range play a particularly important role and reflect the family's French roots.
Alongside Chardonnay, the range includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Shiraz and other well-known grape varieties. The different wine ranges combine an approachable style with the typical fruit and freshness of the Robertson wine region.
