A substantial Bordeaux blend from Stellenbosch with blueberry, cedar, black cherry, dark chocolate and a hint of fennel. On the palate it shows silky richness, sweet fruit, a firm backbone, mineral depth and very well-integrated tannins.
 
Vinification:
Hand-harvesting and selection of the grapes, followed by long, gentle fermentation and 12 months of maturation in 225-litre barrels, with 50% new oak and 50% second fill, using 90% French and 10% American oak.
 
Food pairing:
Grilled or roasted lamb with garlic and rosemary, beef and festive braised dishes.
