Smoky bacon, butterscotch, vanilla and sweet black fruit with spices develop on the palate into a savoury mixture of fruit and mocha, rounded off by silky tannins.

Winemaker:
Francois Roode

Vinification:
After malolactic fermentation, the Mourvèdre was racked into new French oak barrels, while the Shiraz was matured in tanks with 100% new American oak staves. The Viognier component comes from a small batch of naturally sweet Viognier, which gives the wine a fuller mouthfeel and fruity aromas.

Food pairing:
South African Braai‚ Fleischgerichten.
