A full-bodied Cape Ruby from Franschhoek, made in a traditional fortified-wine style. It is deep ruby red in the glass. On the palate, red and black berries, fine oak and subtle spice combine with harmonious sweetness and a velvety texture. The wine is concentrated and characterful and is especially suitable for a pleasurable end to a meal.
 
Vinification:
After fermentation, the wine was fortified to 18% alcohol, preserving some of its natural residual sugar.
 
Food pairing:
Chocolate desserts, mature cheese, nuts and as a digestif.
