The Big G is a powerful, concentrated Bordeaux blend from Franschhoek that combines structure, depth and energy. The nose shows blackcurrants, red plums and blueberries, complemented by mint, cedar, fine herbal spice and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate the wine is dense and full-bodied, with ripe, soft tannins and a creamy texture that combines with cassis aromas. The finish is long, intense and shaped by dark fruit. Vinification:
The grapes come from selected parcels and are hand-picked, with only the best berries selected. The grape varieties are traditionally fermented and then undergo malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for 24 months in French oak barrels, 30% new and 70% used, giving it additional depth, fine oak notes and balanced spice without overshadowing the fruit.
