Vernissage is a balanced, elegantly structured blend from the Western Cape that harmoniously combines fruit, spice and depth. The nose shows dark cherries and plums, complemented by cassis, fine spice and a hint of earthy depth. On the palate, the wine is dry and supple, with well-integrated tannins, lively acidity and a juicy, balanced texture. The finish is rounded, long-lasting and clearly defined. Vinification:
The grapes come from different parcels with varying soil types and are harvested at optimum ripeness to achieve complexity and balance. After traditional fermentation, the individual grape varieties and batches are carefully tasted and assembled into the final blend. The wine then matures for 18 months in 225-litre French oak barrels, developing structure, spice and depth without masking the fruit.
