Visionaire is a complex, powerful red blend from Franschhoek that combines precision, depth and elegance. The nose unfolds with layered aromas of mulberries, currants, red and black fruit, complemented by delicate pepper notes and floral hints of violet. On the palate the wine is balanced and supple, with moderate maturity, clear minerality and finely integrated, firm tannins. The finish is long, structured and harmonious. Vinification:
The grapes come from different parcels with varying soil types and are selectively harvested. After traditional fermentation, the wine matures for 24 months, with 20% in 225-litre French oak barrels and 80% in larger barrels, building structure and complexity without dominating the fruit. The individual components are then blended before bottling. The aim is a precise, balanced wine with depth, minerality and elegant texture.
