Plaisir de Merle Estate Red 2023 from Plaisir de Merle comes from Simonsberg, Paarl. This red wine combines dark fruit, spice and a structured style with a distinctly South African character. The blend is based on Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Pinot Noir.
 
Vinification:
The blend matures for around a year and a half in French and American oak. Seventy percent of the barrels are French and 30 percent American.
