A deep, dark, Shiraz-dominant blend from the Coastal Region with a youthful ruby rim. The nose reveals violets, mulberries and black cherries, accompanied by spicy notes of black pepper and fennel. On the palate the wine is concentrated yet supple, with dense fruit, silky tannins and a powerful, elegant finish. A structured Rhône-inspired blend with expression, spice and ageing potential. Vinification:
The grapes are harvested, pre-cooled, destemmed and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place for up to 14 days in stainless steel tanks to bring out freshness and fruit with precision. Malolactic fermentation and maturation then take place for 16 months in 300-litre French and American oak barrels, 40% of them new and 60% second-fill. The individual grape varieties are matured separately and assembled into the final blend after selective barrel tasting to ensure a balance of fruit, structure, oak influence and tannin.
