An uncomplicated, fruit-driven red wine with South African character. Deep burgundy red in the glass. The nose shows ripe black cherries, blackberries and a touch of smokiness, accompanied by fine spice. On the palate it is soft and rounded, with juicy fruit, moderate tannins and harmonious structure. Vinification:
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit-driven style. Ageing takes place predominantly in stainless steel to bring out freshness, juiciness and the typical spice of Pinotage. Brief contact with oak components provides additional roundness and subtle structure.
