A fruit-driven, approachable Merlot with a South African signature. The nose shows ripe red and black berries, plum and fine nuances of eucalyptus and mint. Soft, juicy and balanced on the palate with beautifully integrated tannins and subtle spice. Fine oak adds structure without masking the fruit. An elegant all-rounder with a harmonious finish. Vinification:
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, destemmed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks. Cultured and natural yeasts are used to promote the grape variety's aromatic diversity. 20% of the wine matures for 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels, while 80% is matured in stainless steel. French oak staves are also used to give the wine additional structure, length and subtle spice.
