Beyerskloof

is located on Koelenhof Road in South Africa's Stellenbosch wine region. The winery has dedicated itself particularly to Pinotage and its varied range demonstrates how differently this South African speciality can be made.

Beyerskloof's story began in 1988 when Beyers Truter acquired a small farm near Stellenbosch and planted the first vineyards. The first Beyerskloof Pinotage was bottled in 1995 and received an award the following year. Over subsequent decades, the winery expanded with additional vineyards in Bottelary and the Kriekbult site.

Today Anri Truter continues his father's work and develops the winery's style further. The focus is on fruit-driven and structured red wines, with Pinotage used both as a varietal wine and as a component of classic South African Cape Blends.

The range extends from the approachable Beyerskloof Pinotage through the oak-matured Pinotage Reserve to selected wines such as Kriekbult Pinotage and Diesel Pinotage. It is complemented by Cape Blends such as Synergy, Traildust and Faith as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé and other wines.

Beyerskloof wines combine ripe fruit, spicy notes and a powerful, generally supple structure. Depending on the range, the style extends from uncomplicated everyday wines to concentrated reds with longer development potential. Pinotage Reserve, for example, shows dark fruit, fine oak notes and a long, juicy finish.
