Black Elephant Vintners

is a boutique winery in Franschhoek, South Africa, known for its unconventional and innovative approach to winemaking. The winery was founded by three friends, Kevin Swart, Raymond Ndlovu and Jacques Wentzel, who share a passion for wine, music and creativity. Their philosophy is based on the idea of ‘revolutionising’ the wine industry by breaking with tradition and making wine accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Black Elephant Vintners is characterised by its commitment to demystifying wine and making it more accessible. They often take inspiration from music when making wine, organising ‘vinyl sessions’ where wines are paired with music that reflects their character and origin. This innovative approach not only brings a fun and artistic element to wine tasting, but also helps to create a deeper connection between the wine and the consumer.

Black Elephant Vintners is also committed to sustainability and supporting the local community.
