The Ridgeback wine estate is located in the picturesque Paarl wine region in South Africa. It is known for its award-winning wines and stunning scenery, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Cape vineyards. The winery was named after the Rhodesian Ridgeback dog breed, which is known for its loyalty and strength, and these values are also reflected in the philosophy of the winery.

Ridgeback Vineyards was established in 1997, and since then it has become a respected name in the South African wine industry. The vineyards cover around 65 hectares and benefit from the unique climatic conditions of the region. The combination of hot summer weather and cooling afternoon breezes creates ideal conditions for the cultivation of grape varieties such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.

Ridgeback's wines are known for their depth and complexity. Especially popular are their red wines, which often impress with their powerful structure and rich flavours. Ridgeback offers a wide range of wines, from lighter, fruity whites to full-bodied, structured reds that can age well.

The winery also offers an unforgettable visitor experience. The breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards make a visit to Ridgeback a special experience.
